Ms. Tanya Badere | Admin Manager of Polker
Some of you might didn’t participate or on there for it, you can look back at how was our #AMArathon went FROM HERE to RIGHT HERE. We are up with the recap of our #AMArathon with Polker and we hope our audiences get a better understanding about Polker. Happy Reading!
🔹1st Segment: Project Introduction🔹
Before we get into Polker, can you tell us about your background, the team members who work on this project, and why you chose to be a part of Polker?
Sure. I am Tanya, Admin Manager for Polker. My background is in customer support and finance, with years of experience on corporate actions and for past few years, quantitative analytics. I was recommended to the Polker project on a freelance basis, but I liked the project and fell in love with the team. The Polker team is made up of diverse, talented individuals from different parts of the globe, with backgrounds in IT, crypto, dev, finance, social media, gaming, architecture, customer service, etc. We currently have around 50 fulltime employees – 14 from the dev team team and 6 of them are dedicated UE developers. We are a relatively big company for blockchain, gives you an idea how serious the project is.
Can you tell to us here, what is the Polker all about? Why is it become the first of it’s kind on this blockchain space?
Polker is a novel platform that offers multiple protocols that can be implemented alone or in combination. We provide solutions to problems that multiple industries that implement blockchain technology are facing. One of these protocols is our patented Multi-Crypto Marketplace that allows users/gamers to use their cryptocurrency of choice whilst displaying the live value in the fiat currency of choice. The live price data is pulled from an oracle so that all parties involved have accurate price data displayed in the currency of choice. With this protocol, users can have an easy check out process, without having to worry or get confused about multiple chains and wallet usage. The use of multiple cryptocurrencies will also make the platforms more accessible to the wider public. Polker.Game is the first use case of PKR. It is the first blockchain based, free-to-play & play-to-earn, Poker NFT game that uses Unreal Engine 4 for immersive and powerful gameplay while utilizing a provably fair system and TRNG technology. We are going to launch on platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows, and streaming platforms with intended support for next-gen VR, with stunning 3D characters, visual effects, and environments. Our gaming metaverse combines virtual reality with the endless possibilities of blockchain technology. Users will be able to enjoy immersive graphics and play among each other within the metaverse. They’ll also be able to edit the graphics and create a personalized gaming experience. Let me share a preview of our game to better show you.
The Multi-Crypto Marketplace will be used in the game, not right now, but will be implemented in the game in the near future. This protocol is patented, and we own the patent. This can be implemented in other e-commerce applications and gaming applications. We have our Provably Fair System and True Random Number Generator, features that differentiate us from other poker sites or blockchain games.
What make Polker better from conventional poker game? And also make it stand out than other blockchain play-to-earn game?
The two features I have mentioned above: Provably Fair System and TRNG. Our Provably Fair System uses the potential of the blockchain to provide full transparency in every aspect of gameplay by using our multiple patents granted technology. The player is fully protected against fraud and cheating. We store every gameplay action and value as a hash in a smart contract on the blockchain. By taking the raw values and hashing them, you are able to compare and verify the results independently to prove there was no manipulation. We also have our True Random Number Generator (TRNG) system, a provably fair and auditable technology that uses both SHA-256 hashing in combination with blockchain technology. The protocol uses seed words from the users (typically players) combined with a seed word from the PKR protocol. The resulting SHA-256 hash is then used to interact with a smart contract on the blockchain network. The resulting block header from this transaction is used to create a provably fair random number. It is important for all players and users that they can trust the game — that in essence, the game they are playing is a game of luck and skill. The features that fully protected players from cheat and fraud was one of the features that piqued my interest actually, and provably fair because it is a blockchain game. It is transparent and auditable. Add in the fact that we are free-to-play, so no barriers to playing! We used Unreal Engine 4 and we have NFTs. That is what makes us different from other blockchain games.
I get a little bit curious into your token right now, $PKR. Can you describe something on it? Maybe tell us the tokenomic, total supply, or any thing regarding the uses case of $PKR in your ecosystem?
Sure! PKR’s maximum supply is 1B. Our token is used to power our ecosystem, and its first use case is in Polker.game. The token is used to purchase chips, in-game cosmetics, the PKR pass used to unlock our play-to-earn system. Please refer to our updated tokenomics:
Can you share also some features in this Polker.game? How many game modes available?
We will have tournaments and events and quests. There will be seasonal quests, too to make the game more interesting.
And also i read something about the staking mode, which is PKR can be staked by players to get better or chance for NFT drops right?
What we have is PKR staking, at the moment. No details yet on getting NFTs after staking PKR. That has been mentioned in the primer, but it s not offered for now.
So where we can grab some of PKR right now? Where to buy it?
Good question! We are listed on Pancakeswap, Uniswap, Bitmart, Bittrex, HOO, and MECX. Please see our contract addresses below.
You can refer to below for our buying guide:
What is the roles of the NFT on Polker ecosystem? Where we can grab some? And what we can do or kind of benefit we will get for owning one or more Polker’s NFTs?
The NFTs can be used to personalize your game — you can have your dealer at the table and the accompanying visual effects. The NFTs are limited in number and are tradeable. You can swap the NFT to increase your experience earning. The NFTs are available at Refineable, Opensea, and Rarible. Speaking of which, we actually have an exclusive NFT sale with Genesis Shards. Take a look at them on the Gen Shards market:
The sale ends on 21Mar, 1pm UTC and 9am EST. For more information on the sale and whitelist form, click here:
Can you share to us what milestone that Polker have achieved so far? And what next will be pop up according to your roadmap? Or in simple can you share your development roadmap to us?
It has been certainly busy for the past few months for the Team. We have the CEX listing, the staking pools, 4 beta runs, and now our early access, which will be live until the the game launch (Windows exe format) later this month. Our Full Game Release (Mac – dmg) will be live on the second quarter, we will roll out a new feature for Mac and Windows. We will also have our our official merchandise store. Mobile development is also in the works. We will also roll out new feature by the third quarter. By the last quarter, we will be launching new games and expanding our metaverse. Our roadmap is available at:
🔹2nd Segment: Questions from Twitter 🔹
Question 1 from @Kokila93603877: If the POLKER project, in essence, from its inception to the present, is an ONLINE POKER GAME, why did the POLKER development team decide to link it to blockchain technology, that is, what reasons did they emphasise in making such a decision?
It’s for transparency. We have used the potential of the blockchain technology to make a truly transparent and auditable game. All gameplay is recorded, and anyone can review them.
Question 2 from @selvachirpiga: Polker, as far as I can tell, takes an innovative approach to RGNs by utilising the TRNG system to create a randomised gaming environment backed by the vast potential of Blockchain; however, could you please explain why randomization is so important in the Polker environment?
It’s better to show you the graphics, makes it easier for all of us to understand.
Question 3 from @haprooo: Currently, there are many games with good gameplay but the tokenomic balance is poor, so the game gradually loses its appeal to new players. I wonder what plan does the team has prepare to balance the reward and avoid inflation?
We have actually updated our tokenomics after conversations with our community. We have allocated 10% of our tokens for staking, farming, and rewards. We will have governance soon, so the community/holders will have a say on their allocation, distribution and terms.
Question 4 from @jhon_2390: I read that #Polker have a staking pools in both Ethereum & BSC tat will ends on March 25, 2022. So can you tell us the details of staking pools of Polker? What crypto/stablecoins does it supported? And does it have a minimum amount needed to make staking?
That’s right. Holders can stake their PKR tokens to earn more PKR. Both pools (Ethereum and BSC) will end on March 25, 2022. APY is dynamic, and will change depending on the number of staked tokens. As of Sunday, total staked in the Ethereum pool is 11806356 PKR with 29.04% APY. For BSC, it’s 17651627 PKR, with APY of 18.88%.
Question 5 from @zbsmhs: Most projects are now abandoned in the middle of their operations due to a lack of sustainability and incapacity to support expansion in a market that is wildly shifting. How will your project be able to deal with market fluctuations in an efficient manner?
That is by making prudent financial decisions, having a sound economic model, and strategic partnerships to ensure the sustainability and expansion of our project.
🔹3rd Segment: Questions from Telegram🔹
Question 1 from @Alkabirkhan6: Do the token holders have right to participate in the governance of the project? secondly, you tell us about the motivation and benefits for investors to keep the your token in the long run?
Not right now but it will be coming soon for PKR holders. Holders will be able to decide the games that we will launch in the future, and the allocation, distribution, rewards on LP farming, and staking.
Question 2 from @haaaaasssssha: Do you have AUDIT certificates? Or, are you working to AUDIT your project, to make it more secure, trustworthy and reliable?
Yes, we do. Our Smart Contract was fully audited by Beosin. Back in September last year, the penetration testing and security audit was done by Quinel, a leading independent and internationally accredited testing laboratory/inspection body in the field of gaming, serving the industry for almost 10 years and have laboratories in Italy, Malta, UK and Argentina leveraging international expertise. We are carrying out extensive penetration tests on the updates that have been made since our last Security Audit. We will have Quinel back on board to run full penetration testing of the game to ensure all aspects of the game are fully secure at launch.
Question 3 from @Leovaldaz: COVID-19 has slowed down many economies around the world but as a Crypto business, Does it affect you negatively or positively? are you still on track to achieve your goals or are you planning a new development?
As devastating the pandemic is to other industries, it spurred the growth of blockchain games. We are sufficiently-staffed so it did not really impact our timeline. We were fortunate that those of us who caught the virus did not get critically ill, and we have wonderful team members who stepped in when needed.
Question 4 from @Surjo985: Is your project a community only for English speaking an countries or for users not of other languages?
It’s global. The team members come from all parts of the globe, and the game is available in other languages as well – Chinese, French, German, Italian, Korean, Russian, Spanish, English, etc. Our community is also a diverse one, and I have seen so many of them, regardless of cultural and language barriers, have fun and interact with each other. I guess, gaming does not really know barriers.
Question 5 from @Ssshssh: Revenue and adoption are the main points of all projects, can you tell us your Business model and How POLKER generate revenue? And what makes POLKER unique compared to other project?
Revenue streams will come from ads and fees from in-game purchases. Please note that PKR has multiple patent and patent-pending protocols, which are implemented within Polker.Game. I have mentioned one of them earlier, the multi-crypto currency protocol, which is also available for integration into online gaming platforms, e-commerce, and any other platform which requires a multi-currency application.
Is there anything that you wanna share with us before we wrap up this session?
